Sideloading applications on modern Android operating systems is safe and structured when proper procedures are followed. In this tutorial, we guide you through enabling unknown sources and deploying the package.
Step 1: Preparing Your Android Smartphone
Before beginning, verify that your device has at least 300 MB of free storage. Download the verified installer package from our Download Portal.
Step 2: Granting Sideloading Authorization
On Android 8.0 and above, permission is managed per application:
- Open Android Settings > Apps > Special App Access.
- Tap Install Unknown Apps.
- Select your browser (e.g. Chrome) or file manager and toggle on "Allow from this source".
Step 3: Installation & Setup
Locate the APK file in your Downloads folder and tap it. Confirm the installation prompt and wait a few seconds for package verification to complete. Once finished, open Spotify and configure your audio settings.
