How the SheerID Verification Works
Spotify partners with SheerID to verify enrollment status at accredited Title IV universities and colleges. During sign-up, you will be prompted to enter your legal name, college institution, and student email address.
If automated database matching fails, you can upload supporting documents such as a recent class schedule, tuition receipt, or student registration card.
Annual Renewal Process
The student discount remains valid for 12 months from activation. Spotify sends an email prompt prior to expiration, allowing you to re-verify for up to four cumulative years.
